On July 6 ANSI’s Board of Standards Review approved another ESTA standard: ANSI ES1.9 – 2020, Crowd Management. This standard – the second to be published in a series of event safety guidance standards currently in development – helps the user understand the basic principles of crowd management theory and vocabulary, so they can be appropriately applied to certain reasonably foreseeable risks that arise during live events.
