Who we are:
The ABTT Video Committee is a dedicated committee within the Association of British Theatre Technicians (ABTT). Our mission is to promote and support the role of video in the theatre industry and live events sector.
What we do:
We bring together professionals and aspiring practitioners working in the fi eld of video for live performance. We provide a supportive community where members can share knowledge, collaborate, and navigate the challenges of using video in theatrical productions.
Why we do it:
Although video has been used as a theatrical effect for over 20 years, it is still considered a relatively young discipline in the theatre industry. By uniting like-minded individuals, we aim to foster greater knowledge-sharing and appreciation of video—both as a powerful artistic medium and as an exciting, dynamic career path.
Why you should join:
As the committee is run by volunteers from within the industry we always welcome new members.
