Deafinitely Youth Theatre Summer School is going ahead this summer, on Zoom!

Due to Coronavirus they are taking our summer school online and will be offering this free digital summer school to deaf young Londoners aged 14-21 at the end of August. This project is funded by The Mayor’s Young Londoners Fund.

Leading BSL actors and creatives including Brian Duffy, Chris Fonseca and Nadia Nadarajah (with more to be announced) are working with Deafinitely Theatre to provide an action-packed week of eye-opening theatre workshops including improvisation, devising, physical theatre, visual vernacular and visual poetry.

DYT Summer School 2020 focuses on the theme of lockdown and will finish with a public performance over Zoom. It is a brilliant opportunity for young people to meet other deaf young people and learn more about getting involved in theatre – without even leaving your home!

Deafinitely Theatre offers a support network that provides events and training schemes for those that want to achieve the Arts Awards: Bronze, Silver and Gold. Our Youth Coordinator is a trained accredited assessor for the Arts awards and is always on hand and available for those that require support, assistance and want to complete their arts awards during any of our events, workshops or productions.
