As a member of the Cables & Distribution team you will play a vital role in the smooth running of our operations! You’ll be at the heart of ensuring all cable and distro requirements for client orders are prepared accurately, efficiently, and on time.

This hands-on position involves routine physical tasks, requiring manual handling and a methodical approach. Your keen attention to detail and ability to follow our established warehouse procedures while actively participating in continuous improvement will be essential for success. While you will primarily focus on cables, your skills may occasionally be needed to support colleagues in other warehouse departments.

You’ll use our stock management System daily, so proficiency with standard IT tools like Microsoft Office 365 and a readiness to learn new software are key.
Ensure all cable equipment is prepared to customer requirements and maintained to a high standard. Equipment must be fully functional & complying with current electrical legislation & H & S Regulations.

• Ensure timely & efficient repair & maintenance, preparation & despatch of all equipment in conjunction with other Warehouse Teams.
• To repair and maintain all cable equipment as requested by customers or internal staff
• Ensure your department carry out all general workshop duties in a compe-tent manner including, but not restricted to, loading and unloading of vehi-cles, tidying up, manufacture of custom equipment & general assistance of other Ware-house Teams.
• Use all systems & processes available to maximise equipment hire.
• Maintain maximum stock records & liaise with other staff/departments where required.
• Continue to develop your knowledge about the company & its activities to en-sure greater customer care. Act as a representative of the company in all your dealings
• Work across all other departments within the warehouse as required
• Good communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all lev-els, relating to others and working as a member of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Deadline conscious with the ability to prioritise and multi-task managing a challenging workload and meet strict deadlines
• Willing and flexible approach, with the ability to work on own initiative
