Salary: £43,915 per annum
Get out rate: £40.38 per hour
Hours: Full time, 1929 hours per annum (equivalent to 37 hours per week)
Contract type: Permanent, full time, annualised contract
Start date: Expected June 2025

The role:
BH Live is recruiting for an experienced Technical Manager to join our team covering two of our Bournemouth based venues, Bournemouth International Centre and Bournemouth Pavilion. With over 400 events annually, our team covers a diverse range, from live music tours and West-end musicals to opera, conferences, and in-house productions. You will work across both Bournemouth venues, and you will be a key part of the technical management team. You will assist the Technical Production Manager in ensuring the site is compliant with inspection and testing requirements as per BH Live policies, Health and Safety Guidance and Law and our insurance policies. You will be hands on and responsible for managing the team to deliver Live events across the spectrum of different productions we offer across the venues.

You will:

· Have a primary focus for the safe and efficient delivery of productions and events.

· Help to line manage contracted and casual technical colleagues.

· Be the primary contract for incoming productions and events and work in close collaboration with other colleagues within the technical management team.

· Ensure safe working practices are understood and observed by everyone within your own areas and also in the wider building

To be successful you will need:

· Have experience of delivering a high standard of live technical events and an enthusiasm for working within the live events industry.

· Previous experience in managing or supervising a technical department.

· Experience in the operations and safe construction of staging, live sound, lighting and AV

· A thorough knowledge of current legislation inc PUWER, LOLER, COSHH and mains distribution BS7909.
