Nick Bromley’s publications include Theatre Lore and Stage Ghosts and Haunted Theatres
Having somehow survived a theatrical career spanning six dangerous decades, Nick is now combining company management with writing. He is at present editing both Cakes and Ale, his account of the life and times of the Georgian actor Robert Baddeley and his first novel Exeunt Omnes.
Trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama before its regal elevation, Nick worked in rep and on tour before his first London engagement in 1966.
As a Company Stage Manager since 1971, he has worked on many musicals and plays in the West End, including in this century Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Love Never Dies, King Charles 111, No Man’s Land, Mr Foote’s Other Leg, Tartuffe, the Maly Theatre’s Three Sisters and the United Ukrainian Ballet’s Giselle.
He is the author of two plays for children, Lotte Moore : A Child’s War and Meet the Teaspoons! and has recently directed the Richard Harris play The Last Laugh and he hopes for many more before the final curtain.
