Company profile
Based in Glasgow, the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland is a global leader in performing arts education, regularly ranked in the top ten in the QS World University Rankings.
Alongside our well-established undergraduate degrees, BA Production Technology and Management and BA Production Arts and Design, we are delighted to be launching our new postgraduate production degree in 2025.
Commencing in September this year, the MA/MFA Production (Design/Management) has been created to enhance the professional skills of students in either lighting design, sound design, set and costume design, stage management or production management. If you already have core skills in one of these areas and want to explore your relationship with your own work and the work of others, this could be the graduate degree for you.
The programme will offer you the opportunity to develop your specialist skills further on an individually negotiated pathway, whilst also working within an ensemble setting to explore how ethical, inclusive and sustainable philosophies can and should be embedded in production practice. We want to help you to make work that matters and, in an institution exploding with talented performers, directors, filmmakers, dancers and production artists, to seek out the collaborators that share your values and vision.
