During and after university, Paul worked as a drum technician on tours, organised large music events, ran sound desks for festivals, as well as volunteering in local theatres for all manner of roles.  In 2003, Paul first started working in schools assisting performing arts departments in all areas, as well as teaching technical elements to pupils.  Since then, Paul has worked in both state and private sector schools and has overseen countless GCSE and A Level exam pieces. He has also overseen hundreds of events from small scale all the way up to full plays and musicals, producing and designing all areas of the shows.  Paul is currently the Theatre Manager at the King’s School, Worcester.

Part of the STSG since 2009, Paul has been an active committee member and one of the lead writers for the Performance Support Award.  He is ardent advocate for pupils of all walks of life to engage in technical theatre and believes that putting young people in the centre of the practical learning experience is key to their development.
